The Championships are one of the great events in the British summer sporting season, but also the pinnacle of the global tennis year.  Ask any international tennis player and they will say that they want to win Wimbledon more than any other Tournament. The All England Lawn Tennis (and Croquet) Club maintains the courts and the grounds immaculately. The roof which was installed on Centre Court in 2009 now means that play on that court at least is guaranteed.
